INCREASES COMFORT

The insert absorbs an enormous amount of vibration, increasing the quality and comfort during the ride.

Noticeably a smoother and more comfortable ride.

IMPROVES GRIP

The tires can be ridden at lower pressures, increasing grip and safety when touring.

The Tannus Armour uses a smaller inner tube. The minimum inner rim width is 19mm to fit the insert.

The puncture protection insert is smartly positioned between the tube and the tyre and provides 15mm of additional protection under the tread. It combines puncture protection, easy handling and an increase in ride quality thanks to the all-round puncture protection. This inlay eliminates around 93% of all punctures thanks to its reinforced wings and under-tread protection.

The Tannus Armour absorbs an enormous amount of vibration, as its 15mm thick layer is able to create a kind of "buffer" effect between the bike and the impact. Once the impact is absorbed, it distributes the energy evenly throughout the tire. The result is a smoother and more comfortable ride.

The armour protection is almost 360 degrees. This protects the structure on the side of the tyre as well, making it possible to ride at a low pressure without deforming the tyre, slowing it down and making it less reactive.

By ensuring protection inside the tyre, it reduces damage to the rim even when driven with a flat tyre. The manufacturer recommends running the tyre at a pressure in the range of 0.8 to 1.5 bar. This improves grip in the wet and increases traction control on gravel.
